Ferguson's Story...
Meet Ferguson! Ferguson is a large Weimaraner/Lab boy with a HUGE heart! He loves to play ball and fetch and would make someone a GREAT running partner! Even though he's "weim", Fergus is not a high energy dog. He's great with children and other dogs, although his size can be intimidating to some. He is crate-trained, house trained, knows several commands and is working on walking well on a leash! Visit soulsaverrescue.org to fill out an adoption application on big Ferg today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ferguson, a Columbus Weimaraner/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Weimaraner/Labrador Retriever for sale in Columbus, or seeking a Weimaraner/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Weimaraner/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Weimaraner/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
