Hi! My name is Billy & I am a 8-9 yr. old, 34 lb. beagle boy that still needs to find a new home. I have been with Penny Angels for almost two years now and have been part of their 'Sponsor a Beagle' program to raise funds for my care. I was initially surrendered to a shelter in NY because my previous owners no longer had time for me. After I arrived in Rescue, Penny Angels learned that I had a medical problem that caused me to lose protein in my urine. I have been taking medication twice daily and it seems to have kept things under control for me. I will need to go for periodic lab work to make sure everything is okay. In addition, I need to be fed a special food (Science Diet with low protein) that can be found at the local pet store.
I am a really good boy that deserves to have a special home of my own!! I get along well with the dogs in Rescue and like hanging out with people, too! I am fine in the crate when I eat. I use a doggie door in Rescue and may only need a little help with housetraining in a new environment. I love to go out for long walks and look forward to finding a home where I can spend some time outside. It isn't always easy to find a home for a dog that needs a little extra care, but I know there is a special person out there, just waiting to find me! If you can find some room in your heart and home for me, you will forever be rewarded with my love & devotion!
