Sweet, Playful Crystal's Story...
Love at First Bark rescued Crystal from the MCACC E List. She is currently placed in a loving foster home and looking for an adopter! :). This is a little bit about her:

"Crystal is great with other dogs. She was introduced to my cat about a week ago and is curious but good with her too. She has also been introduced to horses and has been turned loose on a horse property and is "horse smart" already. She does not bark - even when other dogs are barking she doesnt seem to want to bark. She has been sleeping in a kennel at night: She doesnt make a sound all night and sleeps right thru the night! She is fantastic with my 2 yr old daughter. She licks her in the face and loves kids. You have to watch her around stuffed animals as she wants to chew on them. She goes to the door when she needs to go potty. She is a fun loving and easy dog. She would make an awesome pet for either a family or single person!! "

Our Adoption Process...
Adoption Policy
receives animals from MCACC East & West Shelters who are on the Euthanasia’s list. These animals have been turned in by their owners who are no longer able to care for their pets or no longer want them as well as animals that are lost or abandoned. We are looking for people who are willing to provide permanent, loving homes for these animals.

Please consider carefully the time and money required to own a pet before you make the decision to adopt. Owning a pet is a lifetime commitment.

All animals that are available for adoption have passed an evaluation based on their known history, health and temperament. Animals remain available for Adoption as long as their good health and behavior continue. There is no time limit for how long an animal may remain in Foster Care.

ADOPTION POLICIES:
You must be 18 years of age or older to adopt an animal.
A current photo ID (driver’s license or state ID card) is required to process an adoption.
All dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens will be spayed/neutered prior to going home if not already done.
To provide permanent identification, the Adoptee shall have their adopted pet implanted with a microchip & registered with MCACC. MCACC West Shelter offers $10 microchips once a month. Please check their website for dates & times.
You may go to http://www.maricopa.gov/pets/ to check dates & times for Microchip & Free Rabies Clinic.
Adopted animals can be taken to Sun Valley Hope veterinarians for a free wellness exam within fourteen (14) days of adoption.

Please note: Love At First Bark Animal Rescue is unable to reimburse adopters or veterinarians for post-adoption medical expenses. Adopters assume full responsibility for the pet’s care.
While we hope your pet selection is successful and permanent, we do offer a 30-day trial period from the date of adoption during which you may return the pet for any reason. No refunds will be given.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sweet, Playful Crystal, a NA American Staffordshire Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in NA, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in NA.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in NA already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a NA breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in NA paves the way for another one to be saved.
