Mona Lisa's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Mona Lisa's Story...
I am a “special girl” who needs a home where I can continue my weight loss program through slow walks and controlled feedings all the while having someone who will love on me and reassure me that I am a good girl. I dote on people’s attention and in my former life was probably a lap dog who had no exercise and was fed all the wrong food. That makes me a sweet, quiet, gentle girl who likes to lounge but who does need some activity because I am overweight. I am perfectly housetrained and have no need for a crate, just a soft bed. I get along with other dogs, cats and young children also. Please consider me for your own sweetie pie. My edob is 10/06.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mona Lisa, a Houston Dachshund/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in Houston, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
