Gordon's Story...

Gordon was a feral colony cat who was often seen lying in the street and that made his rescue a priority.  This little guy will steal your heart…he is very polite and enjoys attention, but is very subtle in asking for it.

Gordon likes to be gently head butted and to be kissed on his forehead.  He also likes to have his head & face rubbed and his back scratched.

Gordon gets along well with other cats, is very respectful of their space, and will shy away if they get after him.  He likes to be close to you and will lie next to you if possible.

Gordon is neutered, combo tested negative, is worm and flea free, and is up to date on his vaccines.

Please come meet Gordon and be the one who gives him the loving and permanent home he deserves.

Adopting to South Charlotte and surrounding area only.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gordon, a Waxhaw Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Waxhaw, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Waxhaw.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waxhaw already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waxhaw breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waxhaw paves the way for another one to be saved.
