Max's Story...

My name is Max. For those who don't know, I lived my whole life on chain. Yep, I WAS a chained dog. There is a story behind all of this, but that was the past and I'd rather talk about today and the future.
Everyone at the rescue says I am the friendliest, kindest, sweetest, and most loving soul you will ever meet! They also say no one would believe I spent years as a chained dog -- I don't know exactly what they mean by that, but I'm sure it's nice because they are all such nice people. Speaking of nice people, my foster family is great! They have lots of other animals in the house, cats and dogs, and I like them all. They also have kids and I love them, too. Truth is, I love people of any age!
I am house-trained and crate-trained which my foster parents say is amazing because most people think a formerly chained dog can't or won't learn such important manners, but it was no big deal to me. I love to be out and about, around people, and would love to explore the world. My foster mom thinks I deserve to travel and check out new things and knows I would be a great companion. I also LOVE belly rubs and will gladly roll over to get them...if you're interested!
So...do you have room for me and my big blocky head in your family? I am gentle Max -- I have a big heart to go with my big head and I'd like to give it to you if you're interested. Are you my family? You think so? Well, what are you waiting for? Go fill out that application!! I will be waiting for you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max, a Greensboro American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Greensboro, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Greensboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greensboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greensboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greensboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
