Ziva's Info...
| Breed: | Maine Coon | Color: | Gray Or Blue (Mostly) | Age: | Kitten |
| Sex: | Female | Hair: | Medium |
Hello there! I'm Ziva, one of the four detective kittens. I'm an adorable little girl with the tufty ears of a Maine Coon, though we don't know yet if I'll be big like one since I'm not a purebred. My fur is a fluffy grey with speckles of light orange and white, a nice medium length. I even have white mittens on my feet!
I came to Happy Cats with my brothers. I was shy at first but my brothers are helping me become more confident! Now I love to come out and play with the other cats—and people, too! Pouncing on feathers and toy mice is the best thing ever. Now I come up to you and say hello. I may even stick around for a loving pet, snuggle, and purr.
Come visit me! I can be adopted for $140. I tested virus free and have all my normal vet work (except rabies). Plus a microchip, a food and litter starter kit, a month of free insurance, and a free vet voucher. I'd love to go home with one of my brothers; there's a Buddy Discount so one of my brothers can come home with me for half off.
Shelter Info...
Because we know and love each and every cat and kitten here, we can help you make the best possible choice when it comes to finding a cat. Our home-like setting not only puts the cats at ease, but it provides a pleasant, relaxing environment for you to choose your next best cat ever. A good match means a wonderful forever home so your kitten or cat never has to see the inside of a shelter again. We also provide lifelong behavior care and referrals to keep our cats and kittens at hom.
We make every effort to keep up with current feline research and best practices in order to keep our standards high and our cats and kittens healthy and happy.
What makes HCH different from other shelters?
A purr is more subtle than a wagging tail. Cats sometimes need a little help to bring out their best sides, especially with the trauma of losing their homes. We focus on the special needs of cats in shelters, creating a cage-free feline-friendly space that best promotes each cat’s individual personality. This also makes us more human friendly too, giving you a comfortable environment to make your best match possible.
Why open another cat shelter?
Around 9 out of 10 dogs in shelters find a home. For cats, it’s only 1 out of 3. We’d like to put a dent in those horrific statistics by showing people what great companions cats can be. We also spay and neuter each cat to help reduce the kitten explosion that leads to nearly 5,000 cat and kitten euthanasias a year in the Pikes Peak region alone.

Our adult cats are $95, which includes their FIV/FeLV testing, spay/neuter, microchip, vaccination (except rabies), a month of free insurance, food & litter starter kit and a free vet visit voucher. Seniors and other special needs cats include the same signing bonus and are $80. Our kittens are $125 for those over 6 months and $140 for those under, including the same package. Other adoption specials can be found on our website or Facebook page.
Happy Cats Haven is a non-profit, limited admission rescue and adoption center for homeless cats and kittens in Colorado Springs, Colorado. We adopt out within a 4-hour drive of the shelter.
