Adorable little 8 pound Sir James is a red rough 2.5 year old male Brussels Griffon. He was found matted and afraid at a southern California county shelter.
He was recently groomed and Sir James behaved really well on the grooming table. He is slowly adjusting to his new foster home. He is obviously insecure but at the same time very willing to trust new people. He loves to cuddle on the sofa with his foster parents and will quickly come to climb in an available lap.

Sir James is has a calm sweet demeanor. He is eating well, although he is a bit of a picky eater. He prefers that his foster home stay with him during meals. This behavior may relax as he becomes more secure in his new surroundings. He is working on his housetraining which will improve with time as he adjusts.

Sir James is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and micro chipped. He is being fostered in La Jolla, CA. He weighs just 8 lbs.

Sir James is looking for a forever person that works from home or can take him to work with them. He would like another small dog to play with and a very securely fenced yard. Because of his small size, he will not be placed in a home with children under 12 years old. James does not like to be crated alone and can easily jump an 18" gate to come looking for you.

We prefer to place Sir James within driving distance of where he is being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in, and he must fly home in the cabin with his new family. Under no circumstances can our dogs ever be shipped in cargo. We do not place our dogs in homes with invisible (electric) fencing or young children.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

SIR JAMES - ADOPTION PENDING, a Los Angeles Brussels Griffon dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Brussels Griffon for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Brussels Griffon dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Brussels Griffon breeders who help with Brussels Griffon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
