Tank's Story...
Tank is a 4-5 year old Pit Bull mix. He was adopted from the HSCC but returned because his family could no longer care for him. Tank might look tough but he's a big baby and likes to think he's a lap dog! He is very friendly with everyone he meets. He also loves to play! Tank has ongoing ear infections that will need regular cleanings and vet care so that is something to take into consideration if you are interested in adopting him. Can you give Tank the forever home he deserves?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tank, a Johnstown Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Johnstown, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Johnstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Johnstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Johnstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Johnstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
