Max tiny boy's Story...
Max Needs A Foster or Adopter ASAP!

Note: Max is in temporary boarding in San Rafael. Transport can be arranged to Sac or Davis area for approved adopter/foster.

Max is a sweet male Chihuahua mix that is about 3-4yrs old and has medium length shiny black fur. He is a tiny little guy weighing only about 5-6lbs and can be held in one hand. He is a smart dog and good with other dogs and kids. He is a bit of an independent boy who likes to run ahead on you when out walking off leash on the trail, but one whistle and he comes back. He does like to snuggle and is not a high maintenance dog. He will make a great little family member!

Max was rescued from a high kill shelter and is currently in temporary boarding. He needs a loving Foster home or Permanent home ASAP, especially with the colder weather coming since a boarding situation is not so good for such a wee little guy. If fostering, we can deliver him to you with a crate etc.

If you are interested in fostering or adopting Max, please contact us ASAP at:

Note: An application and approval process is required to foster or adopt.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max tiny boy, a Sacramento Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
