About Our Rescue Group...
Ohio House Rabbit Rescue (OHRR) is an organization dedicated to the rescue and adoption of house rabbits and to the education of current and potential pet parents and the general public. OHRR is incorporated in Ohio and is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. OHRR's major goal is to build and maintain a facility to house and serve as an adoption center for rescued rabbits. Educational programs and services for rabbits will also be available at the Center
Come Meet Our Pets...
All of our rabbits live in foster homes. Once the adoption application is submitted, the potential adopter will be contacted and an appointment time will be determined.
Our Adoption Process...
We adopt spayed/neutered house rabbits to homes where they will live indoors and be an integral part of the family. All our rabbits are socialized, litter trained, and in good health, unless stated otherwise. We screen all potential adopters. We charge a $40 non refundable adoption fee when the adoption is finalized, and an adoption contract must be signed.
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
We serve the entire state with emphasis right now on Central Ohio, but we address issues from anyone in the state who contacts us.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ally, a Columbus Other/Unknown was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Other/Unknown for sale in Columbus, or seeking a Other/Unknown from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Other/Unknown breeders who help with Other/Unknown rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
