Stella's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Stella's Story...
Stella is a purebred, one year old, short haired Border Collie. She came to the shelter because she was too active for her family. This great girl has lots of energy, but is very focused. She loves playing fetch and would make an ideal agility dog. She will need a home that is experienced with herding breeds. She loves to play with other dogs and ignores cats.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stella, a New Milford Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in New Milford, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in New Milford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Milford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Milford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Milford paves the way for another one to be saved.
