Brownie's Story...
Brownie is 9 month old mix that was rescued from the shelter with a severe case of mange. We had him vetted, neutered and treated for the mange. He turned out to be a wonderful and beautiful dog. He was adopted to a great family with two boys and another dog. The family is experiencing some personal difficulties and is having to re home Brownie. Brownie is a very calm and gentle boy and just loves being by your side. He also to loves to play with the boys and and their other family dog. We are unsure how he is with cats since he has never been around cats since we have had him. If you would like to meet Brownie please contact us and we will set up a time to meet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brownie, a Apex Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Apex, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Apex.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Apex already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Apex breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Apex paves the way for another one to be saved.
