Ruff Ruff! My name is Nate
|Breed:||Great Pyrenees/Labrador Retriever Mix||Color:||Tan/Yellow/Fawn||Age:||Adult|
|Size:||Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)||Sex:||Male|
I am already neutered, housetrained, in need of an experienced adopter, and up to date with shots.
Nate is a big, stunning 3 year old Great Pyrenees/Yellow Lab mix who loves long walks, play time and FOOD! J He weighs in around 90lbs, Nate is very affectionate and loves to follow you around and help out where he can. He gets along great with other dogs and does a wonderful job protecting his family and property…true to his breed. Nate is house trained, crate trained and knows how to sit, shake and lay down. He is up to date on all shots, micro-chipped and neutered.
Nate needs a calm assertive leader with a mellow confidence that keeps Nate feeling confident & secure…two traits he will need help with until he settles in with his new family. Due to his size and breed, Nate’s looking for a family with only older kids and preferably Great Pyrenees experience. If you are interested in him please go to our website at www.forgottendogs.org and fill out an adoption application or email his foster dad at firstname.lastname@example.org. Be sure to specify that you are looking for Nate!!! Thanks!

Rescue Group Info...
We rescue in a low income area of Houston called the 5th Ward. We founded Forgotten Dogs of the 5th Ward Project November of 2011 to address what we saw as an obvious need to help the many stray dogs we were seeing in there. We set up feeding stations and network and pull as many as we can when a foster home or no-kill rescue group says they can take them in. One of our goals is education and we provide residents with vouchers that cover the complete cost of having their animals altered and vaccinated against rabies. In addition, we provide other vaccinations and worming in the field free of charge. Since November 2011 we have grown in size and have rescued over 300 dogs and a few cats from the area. We are launching a program called Habitat for Hounds through which we will donate doghouses and blankets to residents for their dogs that are kept outside. Our website is forgottendogs.org and we are a 501c3.
We do not have a regular adoption site at this time, but stay tuned to our facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/ForgottenDogs5) for our upcoming events!
Our adoption fee is $125. We have an online application and a contract and all dogs/puppies are either spayed/neutered prior to adoption if old enough or arrangements are made to have them spayed/neutered afterwards.
