Baby's Story...
Baby is a loving, gentle and calm girl who gets along well with other dogs, cats, children and strangers. She spends most of her time quietly lounging in the house but loves human attention and can likely be found close by her family. She walks wonderfully on a leash and is house trained. She has only barked once since she has been with us. She does not jump and has not demonstrated any food aggression. Due to her calm persona, she would do equally well in an apartment/condo as a home with a yard.

She has been very gentle with children and older adults, making her equally well suited for a growing family or a companion for someone older. She is thought to be might be around 3-4 years old. Her teeth look young but her body looks older. That is probably due to her being a stray. She is light heartworm positive but that can be treated. If you are interested in her please go to our website at www.forgottendogs.org and fill out an adoption application. Be sure to specify that you are looking for Baby!!! Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Baby, a Porter American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Porter, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Porter.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Porter already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Porter breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Porter paves the way for another one to be saved.
