PRE-APPROVED ADOPTERS CAN COME MEET RALPHIE BY APPOINTMENT!!!! It's a good thing Ralphie is so cute because, for sure, he has his share of the "devil dog" gene!!! It's not that he's evil -- he's just a diamond in the rough and needs someone to be patient with him while he learns all the things he should have been taught. The good news is that he LOVES people and charms people wherever he goes -- seriously, how can you resist this big boy? (He's a guy's guy and the ladies love him!!) He lives in a home with young children and he thinks he's one of them . . . but he must have a little herding breed in him because when the excitement level rises, so does his, which is why older kids might be best. He LOVES other dogs and would benefit from having a playmate who is looking for a companion. On the challenging side, he is not a "beginner" dog and will benefit from positive obedience training from an experienced dog owner. He will need patience, structure and consistency so he can become the full-fledged solid citizen we know is inside him. Ralphie is about a year and a half old, he is being fostered with kids and another dog, and he's a healthy boy. We have no idea what his true mix is . . . do you?? (A mini-Leonberger, perhaps??)
