Nicki's Story...
Nicki was being fed by some workers at a factory in Elizabeth since last year, I was told. They said she came to be there as a kitten. She had a litter of kittens, we were told, this summer and they have all disappeared. A nice man decided a cat as sweet as Nicki didnt deserve to spend another winter out in the cold, so he brought a cat carrier to work one day, packed her up and brought her to one of our volunteers.

Nicki is so sweet. She loves to be pet, and enjoys lounging in her bed, as you can see in the pic. She is so, so, happy to be warm and dry and not to have to worry where her next meal is coming from.

For more info on her, you can email her foster mother at amra444@msn.com

She will be at the Petco on Rt. 1 in Edison, this Saturday and Sunday from 11-4:30.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nicki, a East Brunswick Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in East Brunswick, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in East Brunswick.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in East Brunswick already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a East Brunswick breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in East Brunswick paves the way for another one to be saved.
