Snickers's Story...
Hey there! I am Snickers! I came all the way to Ohio from a shelter in Virginia, can you believe it!? Some of the awesome staff here at SICSA and from the Montgomery County Animal Resource Center went to a workshop out there, and fell in LOVE with me! I had been in the care of Angels of Assisi (www.angelsofassisi.org) for about 9 months. They had originally pulled me from their county run facility after 90 days of being there. I have been in shelter care for about a year now, and I was going stir crazy!! I went in to foster while in Virginia and had a bad experience. They even labeled me dog aggressive, which is far from the truth. I LOVE dogs! I do really well with all types of dogs, big and little even! I don't like to share though, and that is what caused the problem. I am a very social dog, and a dog you can take to dog parks. I just resource guard my stuff at home, so if you own other dogs be aware of that. I would like to thank SICSA and the Montgomery County Animal Resource Center for making it possible for me to make it out here to Ohio to find my forever home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Snickers, a Kettering Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Kettering, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Kettering.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kettering already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kettering breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kettering paves the way for another one to be saved.
