Adopting A Shelter Dog
These dogs come without background histories/ past medical information. We present these dogs as we have observed in relationship to age, size, breed, behavior, housebreaking, crate training, good with children, cats, dogs, and strangers. Dogs may present themselves differently in different environments, therefore The Dog Spot Rescue, their agents, volunteers, can not guarantee behavior, age, size expectations, breed, house Training, destructive behavior tendencies, and/or medical issues. All dogs from shelters have been subjected to pathogens from the shelter level which can materialize into disease in the future. Each adopter must observe for themselves pre-adoption and make decisions for themselves the suitability of said dog and their tolerance levels for transitional time when adopting a shelter dog. We ask that each adopter take their time when making the choice to bring home a rescued dog.
Buster was abandoned in a yard with 2 other of his furry family, then sent to a shelter where the group was to be euthinized. They have come into our rescue and are now ready to find there forever home.
When you first meet Buster, he is shy and is not eager to meet you. He likes to stick close to the person he knows. Once he realizes you are a safe person (which may take a couple days) he is all over you. Sweet, loving and very kissy faced. He has a soft coat and a chubby huggable body. He loves to go on walks. He is good with other dogs and does not care about cats. He likes to play with you but is not hyper. He has a non shed coat that will need regular grooming. Buster is looking for an adult home.
Can you give this sweet and deserving guy a chance?
Adoption is $250 and pays for his nueter, rabies, worming, shots, heartworm test and all dogs go home on a two week trial.
To meet Buster, please fill out an application online and then email cookvacaville@aol.com or call Lindsay at (925)2121795
He is located in Lodi
Your Adoption Fee covers the following expenses: Spay/Neuter, DHLPP, Bordatella, Rabies (if age appropriate), De-worming and Frontline/Advantage
Please Note: Shelter/rescue dogs have been exposed to many pathogens such as kennel cough, parasites, diseases and conditions some of which may not have been discovered prior to adoption. Any dog that shows symptoms here at TDS are routinely identified, taken for tests and treatment. Our vet bills can exceed $10,000 a month. However, without symptoms, we may miss a disease, or pre-existing condition or parasite. Consider carefully if you have the tolerance for these possibilities. We consider, you, the adopters, the last leg of the rescue process.

Rescue Group Info...
They come from overwhelmed, overcrowded shelters, owners in crisis, neglectful situations, or simply abandoned to fend for themselves. Our mission is to eliminate the need for euthanasia, as a means of controlling the overpopulation of dogs, by spaying and neutering and by offering a place for dogs to go where they may rest, recover and be re-homed into a safe nurturing environment.
