SaraAnnette-Wauseon Cattery's Story...
My name is Sara Annette. I came from a cattery in Wauseon, OH. If you have read Janie's entry then you know a little of our story but don't take everything Janie says literally, because Janie is full of it. Blue's Mews saved our lives when they rescued us, and now they give us all the vet care and excellent food we need and lots of toys to play with. They spayed us, so we won't end up like poor Janie--being kitten factories. They love us dearly and they are trying to find us good homes. I am 4 years old and I am a strong, smart, leader of cats. This means that I will not do well in a household that has other cats, because I am meant to be the queen, and I will insist on taking over. But that doesn't mean you absolutely cannot have another cat. When I love, I love with all of my Siamese heart. What do you think? Are you the right people for me? Am I the right cat for you? You can call or text 937-271-1411 or email cat_rescue@earthlink.net. Just one thing--although normally Blue's Mews will give you a 2-week return guarantee, for those of us who came from the cattery, that has not worked out. The lovely Lily was so broken-hearted when the people brought her back (they simply did not understand Siamese at all), we thought we were going to lose her. She is only slowly recovering. I was placed once, but I didn't like sharing my new mom with her existing cat--but I really liked the mom! I went into a deep depression when I was brought back, and I cannot go through a loss like that again. I'm a great cat and a great companion. Take me for myself, as I am, and I will give all my love to you. I want to belong to someone forever and ever. But you must speak Siamese. I am Siamese, if you please.

Note from the Director: Sara Annette must go to experienced and patient Siamese guardians. This is non-negotiable. She has been through too much to risk any adoption mistakes. Call/text 937/271/1411 or email cat_rescue@earthlink.net if you are a qualified, interested adopter.

About Our Rescue Group...
We are a small, grass-roots volunteer effort dedicated to easing the problems faced by unwanted Siamese cats and kittens and their non-Siamese cousins. We use foster homes for our animals to provide them with a warm and loving environment from which to be adopted; we give all of our animals excellent vet care to ensure they have a good start in life. We offer education and advice on cat care and cat behavior issues; we provide courtesy listings for adoptable pets for free on our web site. We provide support to indigent owners (emergency food and vet care assistance) as we are able and offer advice and assistance on resolving landlord pet issues (including ADA therapy pet designation). We are dedicated to making life easier for the animals who love and trust us and look to us for their safety, security, and happiness. The problems are large and we are small but we try hard to make a difference for cats at risk.

Come Meet Our Pets...
We show our kittens at Pet Supplies Plus in Centerville and in Kettering on alternate Saturdays from 1 to 6 pm. We also visit Moochie and Co. at the Greene on the first Sunday of the month. We also show our animals in their home environments, by appointment, evenings and weekends.
Our Adoption Process...
Adoption requirements include an application that tells us something about the adoptive family and authorizes us to contact the family's vet for references, a phone or in-person interview, and at the director's discretion, home visitation. We provide an adoption contract that lists the animal's current and anticipated health care and delineates the owner's and our responsibilities. All cats and kittens have a 3-week health guarantee, in which we assume responsibility for vet care for any unrecognized or incubating health issues, and a 2-week satisfaction guarantee which provides a full refund for animals returned within the 2-week timeframe. Our adoption fees are $75 per Siamese mix or Siamese Wannabe and $100 per Siamese. Cats and kittens adopted in pairs are substantially discounted.
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
Blue's Mews Siamese Cat Rescue is a small, volunteer-run, non-profit organization assisting Siamese cats, Siamese mixes, and Siamese wannabes (doesn't every cat want to be Siamese?).

We serve the greater Dayton/Fairborn/Beavercreek area (including, but not limited to, Montgomery, Greene, Clark counties)
