Julie's Story...

This dog is eligible to have its adoption fee waived if adopted on the June 1st Maddie's Adoptathon weekend. Please apply early as all other steps of the adoption process, home check and meeting family, need to be completed by June 2nd.

Julie is a 13-pound, 2-3 year old Miniature Pinscher mix. Julie is VERY smart, very curious, loves affection, and adorable. She came to us from a family with a large pack of dogs and is find living with other dogs. She would be fine as an only dog also. She is crate trained but would benefit from further basic training as she is incredibly smart and willing to please and learn. Julie has a lot of love to give and is looking for the right person to give it to. Julie is shy on first meeting new people and her new family should expect that it will take her a few days to settle in and be comfortable. An adult only home may be best for Julie.

Please see our other available dogs at Grateful Dogs Rescue. Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial medical and other costs in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we must charge an adoption fee. The adoption fee for Julie is $200.

If you are interested in adopting Julie, please complete our online adoption application. One of our volunteers will get back to you. Adoptions are local, confined to the SF Bay Area.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Julie, a San Francisco Miniature Pinscher/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Pinscher/Beagle for sale in San Francisco, or seeking a Miniature Pinscher/Beagle dog from a breeder in San Francisco.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Francisco already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Francisco breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Pinscher/Beagle breeders who help with Miniature Pinscher/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Francisco paves the way for another one to be saved.
