Mimi's Story...
Mimi is a patient kitty. She is not pushy. She is not needy. She is not aloof. On a porridge scale, she's just right. One thing she really does enjoy, though, is attention when you have it to give. She perks up, chirps her delight, and readies herself for all kinds of petting.

At one time, we thought Mimi did not like to be around any other cats. But now that she is out of her foster home and in the adoption center, she has come to understand that other cats can be around her without taking anything away from her. She is quite lovely and very sweet!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mimi, a The Colony Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in The Colony, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in The Colony.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in The Colony already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a The Colony breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in The Colony paves the way for another one to be saved.
