Luci's Story...
Luci is a girl with her fair share of tortitude. She knows what she wants, and she is pretty sure she knows how to get it. A self-sufficient girl, she isn’t as needy as many other cats, and is happy just to roam about on her own and explore her house at her own leisure, coming up for pats when she thinks you should give them to her. At about a year old she still has plenty of kitten in her, and loves to fly through the air at feathers on a string, and chase lasers up walls. Her favorite play toy is her brother Gabriel, and when tired you will normally find them curled up together for naps. They have a hammock at home, and this is their favorite place to sleep. Luci is also friendly with other cats, and dogs both big and small, unless they chase her. She is good with teens and older children that know not to pester a cat, but probably would be best suited to a house without small children grabbing at her a lot.

All of our cats and kittens have been fostered in a home environment and are litter box trained, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, spayed/neutered, and have been tested for FIV and FeLV prior to being made available for adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Luci, a Edmond Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Edmond, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Edmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Edmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Edmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Edmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
