Misty's Story...
Misty is a beautiful long-haired dilute calico. She was rescued from outside where we believe someone abandoned her. As an indoor cat, she has had a tough life outdoors, frightened and out of her element. She is now safe and sound in a UCR foster home getting the tender loving care she deserves.

Misty has been to the vet. She was spayed, vaccinated, and dewormed. She is ready for adoption.

She has been readjusting slowly to life indoors. She is still very shy, but is seeking out attention from her foster mom. Misty is making good progress each day and will warm up to any loving hand in time. She will need a patient, caring owner to give her a quiet forever home.

This petite girl is very gentle and sweet. She is not a high-energy cat. She enjoys being petted from head to tail and loves getting scratched around her neck. Misty also loves to be brushed. You will hear her purring along softly with each stroke and she will even roll over so you can do her belly too. She does not always like to be picked up. However, she will happily curl up in a nice warm lap and will fall asleep there if you let her. Another thing worth mentioning is that she was incredibly well behaved during her first bath.

Misty's foster mom tells us, “She is a real pleasure to foster. I think anyone would be really lucky to add her to their family.” If you would like to bring home this little sweetheart into your loving and committed home, please contact us today!

Thanks for supporting cat relief.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Misty, a Toronto Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Toronto, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Toronto.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toronto already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toronto breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toronto paves the way for another one to be saved.
