Baxter's Story...
Meet Baxter! His owner died of cancer in May. He is an 8-10 year old neutered cat that needs a home with no other cats, as he doesn't seem to like them very much. He is kind and gentle with people. Shy at first, but loves to cuddle at bed time. He is used to being around dogs that are cat friendly. He likes to rub up against the dogs, as long as they are gentle. He is fully vetted and currently housed in a Veterinarian’s home. He's a real sweet heart that just needs a chance!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Baxter, a Edmond Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Edmond, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Edmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Edmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Edmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Edmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
