My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATED BIO 03/10/2013: Lila is a 4 year old 8 lb female chorkie (a chihuahua/yorkie mix) who is being fostered in Ft. Myers, FL. She continues to do well in her foster home. She is house-trained to go on pee-pee pads and outside, but she does have an occasional accident, but not very often. What a smart little girlie! Because she is a mix, grooming is minimal and her coat will likely not grow much longer than it currently is. FM still brushes her when the others are groomed so that she won’t feel left out.  She is such an easy-to-care-for doggie and as long as she receives lots of loving, she is as happy as a clam! Lila enjoys playing with a squeaky toy and will even fetch the toy when the mood strikes her, lol!

Lila is a submissive little girl, and avoids confrontation with the resident doggies in the home. She does well with other dogs, but Foster Mom thinks a strong alpha dog would make her nervous and withdrawn. Lila’s perfect home would be as an only dog, or another small submissive dog, with a fenced-in yard (no apartment or condo living for Lila unless there is a back yard), and one stay-at-home parent. Lila loves loves loves to give kisses. If it’s kisses you want from your new little doggie companion, then Lila should be your girlie! Please consider giving this gentle little girl a forever home.

UPDATED BIO 11/18/2012: Lila is a 4 year old 8 lb little girlie who is being fostered in Ft. Myers, FL. She is doing just great in her foster home. She is an-all around great little doggie. No problems with eating or sleeping. She has also made great progress with her potty habits ~ what a smart little girlie! Lila loves the backyard, that will be number one on her wish list for a Forever Home - no condo/apartment living for Lila unless there is a back yard. She could be your little Princess, too - Lila would love a new forever home for Christmas.

UPDATED BIO 11/4/2012: Lila is a 4 year old 8 lb little girlie who is being fostered in Ft Myers. For those of you who think she looks familiar, well.... she is! Little miss Lila is back! Turns out she had some potty training issues that weren't evident in her foster home where she had a fenced in yard. (She also was crate trained and didn't have free reign when her FM was gone; so, potty accidents didn't happen). However, she is having accidents in her new home and is back with UYR. Urinalysis shows no issues. We will be working with Lila to make sure she is placed in a home where she can potty outside in a yard. She loves loves loves other dogs and plays all the time. She is devoted to FM and is looking for the right home! Thanks for looking! (Oh, if you don't know this princess, she was treated successfully for heartworms and is doing GREAT!)

UPDATED BIO 09/11/2012: Lila has completed her heartworm treatment and has a pending adoption! Woohoo! She should go to her new home soon! Thanks for everyone who helped her!
