My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jodie, is likely 2-3 years old. She sports a petite body of 37 pounds, but she could use some more doggie grub. People immediately see how beautiful and sleek she is. She has an adoring puppy face with a hint of gold eye shadow and blush on her black face. Her feathered tail is frosted with gold too.

She gently climbs up to greet the face of each person she encounters including children. As small as she is, this seems cute, but she should be trained to not climb on people.

She wants to be with you at all times; sharing a chair next to a cozy fire, or in your bed, quietly snuggled in. She is so loving and sweet.

Jodie does great at the dog park, tracking with her foster parents on the trails, greeting other dogs and gently greeting people. She does not destroy items that do not belong to her either.
She would probably be best with a couple or a single person with no children, as she is possessive of her primary people, but only when she is sitting with them. She will need training to mitigate her angst.

Jodie can do a "sit" and with her attentiveness and loving to be up on her hind legs, would be a great candidate for further training and possibly at dog dancing!

She does have somewhat bowed front legs, which have been noticeable to almost no one. She was checked out by an orthopedic surgeon and had X-rays done. Those legs are just hers, and that is that. No issues were detected. She walks and runs normally.

Jodie needs a lot of help with potty training, typical of a stray rescue dog. Her foster brother Ollie, our foster ambassador among our three GRFR rescue dogs, eventually gets every foster socializing and playing, as every happy dog should do. Ollie has begun to make progress with Jodie.
