Ruff Ruff! My name is Luna

Luna's Story...
Luna is a 50 pound, female English Bulldog who is under two years old. Luna took quiet an interesting path to rescue. When she was just under a year old, a volunteer found her on a very dangerous part of a rural road and took her to a shelter. A few hours later, I saw her there, absolutely terrified in the shelter environment. I couldn’t leave her that scared, so took her home to foster. We always check lost dog listings when we find one on the road and, sure enough, I found a dog matching her description. Luna had spent several days with me at this point, sleeping in my bed every night and I was reluctant to see her go, but drove her home just the same. Her owner was thrilled to have her back. I left my card with her and said she could call on me if Luna ever again needed help.

A few months later, I received a call from Luna’s owner. She did not have a fence for Luna and just couldn’t keep her out of this dangerous stretch of road. She didn’t want to surrender her, but knew that it would be safer to find her a home with a fence. Could I come get her? Tonight? A half hour later, I was driving home with my old friend and she resumed life in my foster home, sleeping in my bed every night.

Luna was allegedly from a family who bred English Bulldogs and was given to her first owner as an older puppy. Luna is a sweet girl all my visitors fall in love with at first sight! She does well with other dogs, as long as they are not super dominant females. She would do best in a cat free home, however. Luna is house and crate trained. She is a total lover. She will sleep in bed with you . . . and she insists on cuddling, so be prepared to give up space on the bed and furniture for your new best friend! Luna is up to date on vaccines, heartworm tested negative, spayed, microchipped and on flea and heartworm preventative. Please consider adding this perfect dog to your family!
