Tinkerbelle's Story...
Tinkderbelle #356 is desperately looking for her very own lap to spend the Holidays in (and every other day too). She is a beautiful red fawn with black mask, 5 pound, 4 year old bundle of love and cuddles. She is one of the sweetest little Chi's I have ever seen. Not demanding at all, just wants to be held, carried and cuddled and if you walk without carrying her, she will be right on your heels waiting for the opportunity to get picked up again! She came from very unfortunate circumstances of which I will not go into here but this little girl deserves all the love and warmth she can get. She DOES NOT like a crate but she DOES like your bed. She would do best in a quieter adult household. She is fine with my 3 Chi's and from what I learned about her past, she is ok with cats. I have only had her for a couple of days and she just got spayed today so her full peronality has not surfaced yet, but a person that knew her from her past said that she does some pretty cute things. I don't know if she likes to play with toys or not, because she is so new here. If you are interested you better contact me soon because this little girl is a prize and will not last long! She will reluctantly go outisde when it is wet or cold but on those days she will gladly use a potty pad indoors. After all a little princess doesn't want to get cold, wet or dirty! Please email her foster Mom at digsdogs@frontier.com. Tinkerbelle is being fostered in Mount Vernon, WA Tinkerbelle is up to date on shots, spayed, a frest dental & her adoption fee is $250.

Rescue Group Info...

About Our Rescue Group...
We are a group of volunteers that take in unwanted, abandoned or homeless Chihuahuas and Chihuahua mixes. We take care of any Vet needs they may have and evaluate them as to temperament and likes and dislikes. We then match people to dogs and after completing our adoption process we send the dogs to their Forever Homes where they will be loved and valued as a family member.

We operate on donations and always have a need for things like leashes, harnesses, dishes, high quality dog food, beds, blankets and most importantly FOSTER HOMES!

***ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE***

We organized in 2005 and CR&R is registered as a non-profit charitable organization in Washington State & has Federal 501(c)(3) STATUS. We have successfully re-homed over 250 dogs!

Please contact each foster home where a dog lives that you are interested in to make an appointment to meet them. We participate in various events throughout the year where we show off our adoptable dogs.

Our Adoption Process...
Our adoption fees vary depending on the age and health of the dogs. We require that an adoption application be completed with at least two personal references and one Vet reference. We also do home checks to be sure the dog will go to a safe environment. Our Adoption Contract assures that the dogs will be cared for and if they cannot remain with the new family they MUST be returned to us.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tinkerbelle, a Clear Lake Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Clear Lake, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Clear Lake.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Clear Lake already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Clear Lake breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Clear Lake paves the way for another one to be saved.
