My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gabriel: 5 -7 yr old male declawed White Persian

He is a little soft white ball of fluff. With a pink tongue Can you imagine him jumping from cloud to cloud? Or if you tend towards cuteness gliding with little white angel wings?. He is a sweetie. He is another Persian who is all about love. This doesn't explain how he was found "Running at Large" as his paperwork says. How did this happen, - a declawed gentle, clueless Persian found outside ? No one says Persians have any street smarts. No declaw ever belongs outside especially since without claws they cannot climb to escape. Was he put out when his family moved ? Is that possible? At any rate they did not come to find him at the shelter which would not have been hard to do. He stands out in any crowd.

His coat shows that it has been recently trimmed with scissors giving it a sort of uneven surface. He has, I think, a big coat and it was not terribly matted when I got him. He clearly has been loved and cared for in his previous life. After a few days of hiding in the little teepee I gave him he relaxed and was happy to come out to see us, though he was ready to run back. He arrived a bit on edge after a long car ride with Zachary, the young vocal bengal, who was also being transported . ( I arrived with a headache and incipient deafness. ) This little guy is cat friendly but he would just as soon have Zac at the other end of the earth I am sure. His declawed state may also make him anxious to be near such a young active male.

Gabriel is just as he looks, he is a soft, gentle treasure. He needs
to be loved and carefully protected and cared for his whole life.
The shelter notes say he didn't eat well with them. He is probably a little underweight but with us, after the first 24 hours, he has been eating wet and dry food nicely. He has a fairly extreme face which is to say his nose is way up there between his eyes and his face is very
flat. He snorts and snuffles a bit when he breathes and this is
normal for him.

I only got him on 12/4 so I will write more when I know him better.

He eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect.

His foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.
