Delaney's Story...
Great dog! Get's along with other dogs, loves people - just a great dog. Maybe 2 or 3 years old?

Delaney is heartworm positive which means she will need treatment for them in a couple weeks. Here's how it goes, on antibiotics until Dec. 27th. Then, she'll spend 2-3 days at the vet (at our cost), then, she's goes back home and you keep her VERY CALM for a couple weeks until she's all better. Then, she's 100% cured with no residual effects. All expenses covered by Lucky Dog Retreat Rescue. All you need to add is love :-)

To meet this dog, give us a call (317 849-5555) and come visit. Our hours are 7am to 7pm all 7 days of the week.

Our foster dogs are micro chipped, vaccinated, HW tested, current on HW and Flea preventative and spayed or neutered. They are crate trained, sleeping and eating in a crate at night. They stay all day in the playroom with a bunch of other dogs. Dog's adopted from us are eligible for a 20% discount on our training classes and a $2.00 discount on daycare.

Our standard adoption fee is $150. You can watch our dogs online at Visit our website for more information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Delaney, a Indianapolis Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Indianapolis, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Indianapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Indianapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Indianapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Indianapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
