My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet amazing Drake! An amazing two year old Boxer and Red Bone Coonhound mix. What a wonderful combination for a family. Both breeds make excellent companions and family pets, and Drake is truly the best of both breeds. He loves to be with his family and is happiest with his humans, or sitting nearby, watching them. Unfortunately Drake has spent too much time in a crate in foster care in Georgia – that’s why he is currently on his way to Washington to find his forever home! He was rescued from a high kill north GA mountain shelter after he was found in the woods. Drake loves kids and is very affectionate and loving with everyone: he will often leap to his feet to greet you, but remains calm and not “boxer jumpy” while showering everyone with love. He gets along great with other dogs and loves the outdoors. But he will give a warning bark when he hears something outside! Drake enjoys a good hike and is awesome on his leash. Not prone to be a crazy “sniffer” he will stick right by you wherever you are and very comfortable with new people. Drake is a very handsome big boy, he weighs over 65 lbs but is muscular and well-proportioned. He has long legs and his un-docked tail is held high and happy. He enjoys water, and I bet he will totally love the beach! Both Drake’s breeds are great for faithfulness and activeness. He is quiet (no hound baying!) and settled and will bond quickly with you. He will be a wonderful adventure buddy as well as livelong family member. You both will be very happy if Drake lands in your home after his cross-country journey. Drake is completely vaccinated and neutered and micro-chipped. He is house trained and crate trained and just the best boy ever! He will be in Washington Saturday, Dec 15th in time to be in your home for the holidays! To meet wonderful Drake as soon as he gets here, please contact Pam and Denise at rescuinganimals.@gmail.com
