DOTTIE's Story...
DOTTIE is a female pup found abandoned with three other dogs in a rural area after their people moved away. We know that her momma is a black lab mix. Her daddy might have been a pit or a boxer. We estimate her date of birth to be April 15, 2012. She stands about 19 inches at the shoulder and weighs 46 lb. as of 3/18/13. She is de-wormed, spayed, fully-vaccinated and current on flea, tick and heartworm preventives. Dottie is very affectionate and friendly, not skittish at all. She has learned to sit for a treat and walk on leash. She is crate-trained for sleeping at night and kennels like a pro. She is house-trained and knows how to use the doggie-door. She is very smart and food-motivated and has proven to be easily trainable. Dottie is a sweet, gentle dog and would be good with kids. She also plays well with other dogs. For more information, please contact Janel Miller at dogrefuge@gmail.com. This is a courtesy posting. This dog is not affiliated with P.S. I Love You! Animal Rescue but is fostered by another party.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

DOTTIE, a Cranford Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Cranford, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Cranford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cranford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cranford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cranford paves the way for another one to be saved.
