LET IT SNOW! LET IT SNOW!! LET IT SNOW!! TAKE ME HOME NOW AND I'LL BE THE BEST CHRISTMAS PRESENT YOU EVER HAD!! My name is "Cookie" and I'm a darling girl (if I do say so myself..and I just did!) I'm a youngster, just about 8 months...the purrfect age to adopt! I have a gorgeous coat and markings..my face couldn't decide whether to be black or orange, so I have half of each! How cool is that?! And I have really cute white whiskers and paws. But my best feature is that I am extremely friendly and affectionate. The cat photographer could hardly get my picture, cuz I was doing my little Love Dance that they call "kneading" or something. Please come in and visit with me and maybe I'll have a happy home (yours?) for the holidays. I'd really be so grateful to have a happy warm home instead of this cage . Won'tcha check me out? I'll do my Love Dance for you on Christmas Eve, while we wait for Santa!. I'm in cage #105.
Shelter Info...
We are the Animal Shelter for the City of El Cajon. We also house animals for the City of La Mesa. We take in strays and animals relinquished by their owners from these two City's only. We adopt out the animals that are not claimed by their owners. You do not have to live within the City to adopt an animal from us. We sometimes have animals other than dogs and cats.
We are located in the City of El Cajon which is east of San Diego. 1275 N. Marshall is two blocks north of Fletcher Parkway, Marshall runs parallel with the trolley tracks.
We are open Tuesday thru Saturday 10am to 5pm. The latest we start an adoption is 4:30. We are closed Sundays and Mondays.
Our adoption fee for dogs is $80.00 and cats are $80.00 All other animal adoption fee's are based on the type of animal.
We do an evaluation with you and the animal to be sure that it is the best animal for you. We require that all children in the household under 9 years old be evaluated with the animal and if you are adopting a dog and you currently own a dog, your dog needs to be evaluated with the new dog to be sure they get along.
