Whiskers's Story...
My name is "Whiskers" and I am one handsome dude! I'm what folks call a "Diluted Vann Calico"....that means my body is white and I have dilute calico markings on my face and tail end. Vann Calicos are very unusual, so come on in and check me out!I The Staff here say that I'm elegant AND loving. I'm just about 8, so they call me a Senior, but we indoor, well-loved cats can live long lives up into our 20's, so I am hoping and wishing you'll come in and ask to visit with me. The Volunteers say that I'm a bit shy when out of this cage, but also I'm curious. It's just that I've been here awhile so it may take me a little while to feel at home in a real home. WOW....a REAL home with laps and stuff! I can't wait! If you take me home, I'll give you so much love and attention, and you can do the same for me! (hint hint!) My adoption fee is just $30 and I'm neutered, microchipped, checked negative for feline leukemia and have shots. SO, not only am I elegant AND loving, I'm also a great bargain! So come on in and meet me! I'm in cage #131.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Whiskers, a El Cajon Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
