Cloud's Story...
CLOUD lost her home due to an eviction...and landed in a high kill shelter where she waited weeks and weeks for someone to choose her. She is about 10-12 months old and a sweet & super friendly girl eager for a stable & loving family. At only 8 lbs, she's a petite kitty... the purr-fect size for apartment living & lapsitting which she enjoys doing! She is definitely a bit gun-shy and spooks easily - noises, unexpected petting, etc. But she is also a total purr box who loves to sit on on laps & share your bed at night. She would do best in a calm environment & would prefer to be your "one & only" (no other cats/dog). We think Cloud may have been mistreated in the past and would not be good with children as she will sometimes (gently) nip at your hand if touched on her tail while petting her. Meet her in Capitol HIll, DC foster home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cloud, a Arlington Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Arlington, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Arlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Arlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Arlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Arlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
