Cloud's Story...
CLOUD lost her home due to an eviction...and landed in a high kill shelter where she waited weeks and weeks for someone to choose her. She is about 10-12 months old and a sweet & super friendly girl eager for a stable & loving family. At only 8 lbs, she's a petite kitty... the purr-fect size for apartment living & lapsitting which she enjoys doing! She is definitely a bit gun-shy and spooks easily - noises, unexpected petting, etc. But she is also a total purr box who loves to sit on on laps & share your bed at night.She would do best in a calm environment & would prefer to be your "one & only" (no other cats/dog). We think Cloud may have been mistreated in the past and would not be good with children as she will sometimes (gently) nip at your hand if touched on her tail while petting her. Meet her in Capitol HIll, DC foster home.

About Our Rescue Group...
We are a small, private feline-only rescue group dedicated to the rescue, care and placement of homeless cats and kittens. We do not have a shelter and rely on a group of dedicated foster homes to care for our felines until a "fur-ever" home can be found. We actively promote the importance of spaying and neutering and best practices in companion animal care. The majority of our cats/kittens come from high-kill shelters. We do not receive any government funding and rely on private contributions, 100% of which go to provide medical care, food and supplies.

All of our cats are in private foster homes; therefore, we require an application be completed before setting up appointments to meet them; an application can be e-mailed, faxed or mailed upon request. Adopters must be within a reasonible driving distance to No. VA as we do not ship our animals; we participate in an adoption event held in Wash. DC most Sundays in conjunction with other rescuers. Please e-mail us for specifics.

Our Adoption Process...
We strive to make the "purr-fect" match through our interview and application process. Adoption fees include all medical work (FELV/FIV testing, shots; spay/neuter); home visits are required prior to final placement. The majority of our kittens are only available for adoption in pairs or as a companion to another young cat/kitten already in the home.

Northern Virginia/DC/MD; will consider nearby out of area adoptions if adopter is willing to travel to meet us and we are able to enlist the help of a rescue partner for the required homevisit..
