Moppit's Story...
Moppit is a sweet little 3 year old neutered male shih tzu. He came into the vet with a broken jaw, and his owners were going to have him euthanized. A compassionate vet tech decided to temporarily adopt him and pay for his surgeries. He has had 3 surgeries and is now back on solid food and aside from his lopsided grin, he's a "normal" dog. Now that he is healthy it is time for him to find his forever home, because his current home is already filled with animals and the tech has a baby on the way..... Moppit's favorite thing is to snuggle with you on the couch. He also enjoys going for walks and sunbathing. Moppit has had a rough start of his life, and he is looking for a loving home where someone will shower him with the affection he deserves.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Moppit, a Denver Shih Tzu/Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Shih Tzu for sale in Denver, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
