My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please note that Tiny Paws will be taking a break from adoption processing from December 17, 2012 through January 4, 2013. The holiday season is a very busy time of year with lots of hustle and bustle that can add extra stress to a dog’s transition to a new home. We also would like to give our hardworking volunteers time to enjoy the holiday season with friends and family. Thank you for your understanding.

My name is Carmen, and my adoption fee is $375. I am told my age is about 1 year old, and apparently I’m a "Morky" which is a Maltese and Yorkshire Terrier mix. That makes me especially precious. My shots are all complete, I’m micro chipped, and I’m spayed too.

Living with me is very special - you can't help but love my playful personality and watching me do my aerobic exercises while playing with my toys. I love squeaky toys, and those little toys with no stuffing. My favourite is a skunk, and I'm happy to share. This is all quite new to me, as my life before was very lonely as my owners worked long hours and had little time for me. Now I'm in heaven, and ready for my forever home.

My foster mom goes to work, and leaves me to play in the house. I like having my other dog friends come to visit, and will share my toys – aren’t I nice? What's really fun is when my foster Dad gets down and plays with me, and I can act like the Terrier I am. "A Holy Terrier" he calls me, but rarely do I every get into trouble, as my spunky, adorable expression makes him turn into butter. And lots of kisses help too!

In the evening we sit and snuggle for quiet time, and then I get to climb under the covers with everyone. It's nice and warm under the covers with my Foster Mom and Dad, and I'm quiet as a church mouse, and not much bigger. "Not a creature was stirring, not even Carmen”.
My housebreaking is new to me, but they say I'm catching on fast. With some patience and consistency, I know we can work it out. You won't be able to resist me – will be waiting to hear from you!
