Levi's Story...
Hi, My name is Levi. I'm a 2 year old Shepherd. When I first got to the shelter, I was so scared I stood in the corner. But with the help of these nice people here, I've really come out of my shell. I'm still a little unsure of new things but I'm gaining more and more confidence everyday. I look forward to my walks and I walk really nicely on a leash. My people here think I'm probably housebroken since I like to take care of my business when out for my walks. I love to be petted and brushed. I'm told I have silky soft fur. Once I trust you, I'll be happy to show you how much I love you with my kisses. I'm looking for a family who will continue to show me that the world isn't such a scary place...and one that will take me on lots of walks. Is that something you can do?
**Levi has an old injury to one of his hind legs causing a limp.

**Neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccinations**

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Levi, a McKinney Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in McKinney, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in McKinney.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in McKinney already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a McKinney breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in McKinney paves the way for another one to be saved.
