Macy's Story...
Meet Miss Macy, a young (about a year and a half) mystery mix sweety. We're not sure what breeds she is but she sure is cute! Macy loves to play and loves to relax and snuggle even more. She thinks the couch is the best dog bed ever but is very good about getting down when told. Macy knows how to sit and is learning stay. She would definitely benefit from some positive reward-based training. She is still very puppyish at times and needs some good play time and walking. She comes really well when called and has done very well at the off-leash dog park. She's good with kids and other dogs but not as good with cats and other small animals.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Macy, a Bellingham Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
