Honey's Story...

Honey is a beautiful Belgian Cross Premarin mare.  She is head-shy, and though she will take treats, she doesn't want anything near her head.  She will walk nicely on a lead in the immediate area.  She still needs work, but seems willing to try.  She is curious and sweet.

About Dreamchaser PMU Rescue & Rehab Inc

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity, founded in 2001, to rescue Premarin mares and foals from slaughter. This organization was founded by Susan Thompson and her daughter Jamie, and is an all volunteer organization. Donations go 100% toward the feeding and care of the horses. We also do child outreach for inner-city and at-risk teens, using our gentled horses and youngsters. In addition we attend many events to not only get our name out, but to educate the public, especially women, about the drug known as Premarin, which is made from pregnant mare's urine.

Our Adoption Process...

We have adoption contracts and applications. We require references, property inspections, and experience. Our fees are based on what it cost us to procure the animal, plus shipping. Our Premarin horses and foals have been shipped from Canada. Others have come from Texas and Nevada, as well as California.
