John's Story...
John is an 18 month old Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever. John was found as a stray in Brooklyn, lying in the street behind a parked car. He could not move, only blinking his eyes. He was severely emaciated, weighing only 18 pounds. John made a miraculous recovery going from near death to full of life in a matter of weeks. John is thriving and is now ready to begin the next chapter of his life in his forever home. John's adoption fee is $300.00, he is neutered, dewormed and is up to date with vaccinations. John will receive one free exam at one of our participating vet's offices as well as an offer for a month of pet health insurance. We feel John would do best as an only dog and would do best in a home with no small children. John has a moderate energy level, he enjoys walks and playing. Due to John's traumatic past he does seem to have a few behavioral issues and will need an experienced owner who can spend a lot time training him. If you feel you are the right person for John please email us for an adoption application at Please bear with us as this process will take time. We need to make our decision based on John's needs. We expect to have a lot of applications but we can only choose one.
