Karina's Story...
Meet Karina a mellow, quiet, independent lady who is set in her ways and has no desire to change them. Karina was picked up as a stray and ended up at a high kill impound facility. Now safe in rescue she is looking for a new, quieter home. Karina is overwhelmed in rescue and all the chaos that rescue brings. Her dream home would be with someone that likes to go for walks, has older respectful or no children or other rowdy pets. She is good with the other dogs however is not a dog that is going to play with the other dogs. The other energetic dogs tend to be a bit too much for her. She has been good with the older more respectful children in her foster home. She is typical, independent, aloof husky however can be affectionate and playful. She will jump around and “talk” to you when she gets really excited. Karina walks well on the leash and just has a “little old lady” demeanor.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Karina, a Cokato Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky for sale in Cokato, or seeking a Husky dog from a breeder in Cokato.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cokato already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cokato breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky breeders who help with Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cokato paves the way for another one to be saved.
