We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from CCHS, you have to complete an online application at http://www.collincountyhumanesociety.org/adoption-application.html and we will contact you asap about the status of your application.
This is Goldie AKA Dopey. He is a puppy brought into the CCHS adoption program along with his 5 brothers and 1 sister. He is estimated to be around 60-70lbs when full grown. He does well mingling with the other animals in the house. He was an outside dog until he came into the program, now he is inside and nice and warm. Dopey is nervous around new people. He is such a love bug with his foster mom. He loves cuddling on the couch and playing with toys.
He needs to go to a home that has the time and patience to teach him to be the best puppy he can be. Being around people and being inside is all new to him, but I think he will warm up rather quickly. He sleeps on his foster moms bed and when she gets up in the morning he snags her spot!!! He has the best pesonality when he gets to know you!!!
His adoption fee includes vaccines, microchip, dewormer, spay, and 1st month of HW prevention. We will update you on his profile as we get to know him better. At this time Goldie can be adopted. If you would like to make this handsome guy part of your home please fill out an application today. http://www.collincountyhumanesociety.org/adoption-application.html

Rescue Group Info...
Our Purpose is:
To rescue adoptable dogs and puppies from animal shelters and animal control facilities
To rescue dogs and puppies from abusive and neglectful situations, including puppy mills and "backyard breeders"
To help educate the public on proper animal care and promote spaying and neutering of all pets
To provide medical treatment for animals in our care
To provide foster homes for animals in our care
To place rescued animals in permanent, loving homes
To build and maintain a facility to house rescued animals and host adoptions.
To meet our pets, contact us about any dog/puppy you are interested in and we'll set up a meeting time/date between the adopter and foster home.
Adopters will complete an adoption app. If he/she has a pet, we will check their vet reference and a home visit is not needed (as long as the vet reference is current). All pets must be UTD , current on HW prev and S/N. If a home visit is needed we will compele that ASAP--as we don't want any delays in the adoption process. The adoption fee is $200 for dogs ad $250 for puppies. We spend an average of $300 on each dog/puppy, so the adoption fee helps pay for the vetting for future dogs we bring into the program. Their is a 5 day grace period to make sure he/she is a good fit for your family.
