Shelby's Story...
This cutie pie is about 7 months old. She was a stray wondering the streets and ended up in the shelter and never claimed.

Shelby is great with other dogs and cats. She is very playful and likes to chase the cats, but she is not aggressive. She can be easily trained to not chase them.

She is crate trained and already knows sit and lie down. She is food motivated and easy to train.

Shelby would make a great family pet for an active family. She needs a big yard to play in, she has lots of energy. She loves her humans and enjoys being with them.

You can meet her at the Natomas Marketplace Petsmart on the weekends from 11:30 - 5pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shelby, a Sacramento Boxer/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Border Collie for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Boxer/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Border Collie breeders who help with Boxer/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
