Shih tzu's Story...
available soon pictures coming : Shih Tzu are known as the ‘Chinese Lion Dog’, ‘Chrysanthemum Dog’ (because its face resembles a flower), or ‘Shih Tzu Kou’ (which translates to ‘Lion Dog’, designating its revered status in Buddhism) originates in Tibet as far back as the 1600’s. The Shih Tzu in its current form was primarily developed in China during the reign of Chinese Empress Dowager Cixi in the late 1800’s, likely from crosses of the Pekingese with the Lhasa Apso. The Shih Tzu was a favored pet of royalty, but fell into decline when British troops raided the Forbidden City in 1860. The breed survived, but was generally not distinguished from the Lhasa Apso until 1934, when the smaller, shorter nosed variety was reassigned its original Chinese name, ‘Shih Tzu’.

About Our Rescue Group...
Rescue organizations play a huge role in helping homeless cats and dogs find permanent loving homes. The reasons for adopting from a shelter are countless. A pet can sense that you are a kind person, and will reward you with a lifetime of unconditional love. Twice as many cats than dogs are euthanized every year. The lucky shelter cats (usually kittens) are adopted to loving homes. The unlucky ones (usually the older and special needs), are on the short list for euthanasia. They deserve to live happy lives in homes where they are loved.

A cats and dogs are lovable, charming pets that offers endless fun and entertainment.
So, if you're thinking of adopting , keep in mind these 10 tips about how to keep him healthy and happy
Like dogs, cats need to be fed good, nutritious food regularly, at least once a day.
They also need plenty of cool, clean, fresh water. do NOT need milk
Keep inside your home with you but be careful certain plants are poisonous
Do NOT automatically have your cat declawed. Declawing has been compared to removing your fingernails. To prevent your cat from scratching or tearing your furniture, trim his claws regularly and provide him with a small rug or scratching post. Verbal scolding can also work wonders.
Unlike dogs, cats do NOT need to go outside. Cats are almost always naturally housebroken and will use a litter box even at an early age. Allowed outside alone. cats often get lost or hurt and sometimes get killed. Also, don't leave your cat alone in a room with an open window.
Make sure your pet always wears identification and are micro chipped, even if you never let him outside. Provide the animals with a comfortable, expandable collar and an attached identification tag with your name, address and phone number on it.
Unlike most dogs, cats do NOT need to be bathed. A healthy cat keeps himself clean and well groomed.
Make sure your pet gets good veterinary care, including all necessary examinations and shots.
Your pet will be spayed or neutered so they will enjoy a longer, healthier life!
Give your pet plenty of love and affection. Though cats are more independent than dogs, they thrive on your companionship.
We recommend that you consider TWO cats. Two are company for each other - and two will bring more love into your life!
