My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Poor Simon was abandoned by his thoughtless owners to an overcrowded shelter because they were moving. Chow chows do not generally do well in this environment and a high percentage are euthanized. Our rescue wanted to give this handsome boy a second chance. Simon was purchased as a puppy and for his next eight years lived with his family only to be dumped in a scary, loud and overcrowded place...nothing like he had been accustomed to his whole life. Upon meeting Simon, he can be somewhat intimidating but within a very short time he will be licking your hand and leaning against you. It would be best for him to be adopted by a family who knows the chow chow breed or who would be considered to be "dog savvy". Simon does have a dominant personality and can be challenging. With patience and trust, Simon will be a wonderful addition to the right household.
