MARION (SRC#1332)'s Story...
PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO TO LEARN ABOUT SRC'S ADOPTION PROCESS AND THE DOG YOU ARE INTERESTED IN.

Please note: Our dogs are NOT located in Lenoir, NC. They are in foster homes throughout NC, SC, and VA. You must be willing to drive to the dog’s foster home in order to adopt it. The location of each dog is listed at the bottom of its bio.

Our Available Dogs are updated daily. If you see a dog on our site, it is available for adoption on that day. Emails asking if a dog is available for adoption will not be answered.

Just as the Available Dogs are updated daily, so are the bios. The bios are very descriptive and tell everything we know about a dog. If something is not listed in a bio, we do not know it at the time you are reading it. Emails asking for more information will not be answered.

BEFORE you can meet any of our dogs, you must be approved to adopt. This means you must first download an application from our website and submit it via email or fax (1-910-401-1317). A vet check or a reference check is then completed and if that goes well a home visit is done. The entire process takes 3-7 days normally, depending on your location. If we do not have anyone in your area to do your home visit we will ask you to reach out to local vets offices, shelters, and rescues to get this done.

Please do not apply to adopt a dog if you are not prepared to welcome it into your home within two weeks of applying. We do not hold dogs and we adopt them out on a first come first served basis based on a completed adoption process.

SRC does not adopt out its dogs to families with children under ten years of age. This is for the protection of the dogs and for the protection of the children

Once you are approved to adopt you must make your donation online via our website and sign an adoption contract BEFORE you pick up your new dog. SRC does NOT do meet and greets on the same day as adoptions so if you want to meet the dog first, you must make two trips to the foster home. Keep in mind that if, while you are waiting to meet a dog, another approved applicant decides to commit to it, the dog is no longer available for adoption.

MARION (SRC#1332) is a parti Schnauzer Mix female who is the proud mother of four beautiful puppies. Marion was dumped at a kill shelter when her puppies were just three days old and they were all going to be put down. SRC stepped in and welcomed all five into rescue and what a joy it has been.

Marion is white and black in coloring with the most stunning brown eyes. This little lady weighs 23lbs currently but she will weigh around 20lbs when she loses her baby weight and is spayed. She is a wonderful girl who will make an excellent companion for any family.

Marion is super friendly with everyone she meets. She loves to be petted, she loves to lay in the bed with you at night, and when she isnt busy tending to her puppies, she likes to curl up next to you to watch tv. Marion has not met a stranger, male or female alike, and she is the best mother we have ever seen.

Marion is house trained and crate trained, she walks well on a leash, and she loves to ride in the car. There is not anything negative to say about this girl. She is also good with the resident Schnauzer in her home, that allowed Marion times four to live with them while they await their forever homes.

MARION IS FOSTERED IN RICHMOND, VA. YOU MUST BE WILLING TO DRIVE THERE IN ORDER TO ADOPT HER. MARION WILL BE READY TO GO TO HER NEW HOME JUST AFTER CHRISTMAS (WHEN SHE IS SPAYED AND THE PUPPIES ARE ALMOST TEN WEEKS OLD). APPLY TODAY TO CHANGE THIS GIRLS WORLD.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

MARION (SRC#1332), a Lenoir Miniature Schnauzer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Schnauzer for sale in Lenoir, or seeking a Miniature Schnauzer dog from a breeder in Lenoir.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lenoir already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lenoir breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Schnauzer breeders who help with Miniature Schnauzer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lenoir paves the way for another one to be saved.
