Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, I'm Nelson!
I'm just going to start out my story with the really sad part first, because there's just no easy way to tell it. Me and my friend Hope were found beside the Trinity River after she'd been shot in the face and through the shoulder, and I'd been hit in the head by something like a hatchet. A witness observed us being attacked, but couldn't get across the river quick enough to stop those people from trying to kill us. I ran and ran after them to try and ask why they wanted to hurt us, but I was so badly injured that eventually I couldn't run any more, and I never got the chance to find out...anyways, after all of that, Hope has been rehabilitated and found her new home. My own head injury healed without any problems, and they tell me I won't have any bad after-effects from it ( 2 +2 is 5, right?). Now I live with a foster family of cats and dogs, and I love them all! I also love outings to the dog park, going for jogs, and hanging around in the kitchen with my pals. I'm only about a year and a half old, and I've had all my other vet needs taken care of so I've got a long, happy life ahead of me and I promise to make you a great companion!
