Ruff Ruff! My name is Snuggles
|Breed:||American Bulldog/American Staffordshire Terrier Mix||Color:||White - With Brown Or Chocolate||Age:||Adult|
|Size:||Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)||Sex:||Male|
I am already neutered, housetrained, and up to date with shots.
Snuggles is a big snuggly lover bug! He was the 1st born of his litter and is a big boy at 70+ pounds, but seems unaware of his size, as he will try to sit on your lap for some lovin! As is natural to his breed, he is very protective of his family and home, and displays loyalty at its best. Loves playing with toys and sleeping on the bed or couch right next to you. Snuggles has been raised by a woman, so would do best in another female household, or a nice couple with affectionate male persons. He always keeps his eye right on you, so if you stay at home/work from home, he would love that arrangement best, and may exhibit a bit of anxiety if left alone for too long. When it comes to the outdoors, he goes out only to do his business, and for long walks, otherwise this fella likes the indoors, right beside his human. Snuggles is up-to-date on vaccinations and has been neutered. If you, or someone you know, are interested in Snuggles, please contact Nadia at firstname.lastname@example.org Thanks!

Rescue Group Info...
We rescue in a low income area of Houston called the 5th Ward. We founded Forgotten Dogs of the 5th Ward Project November of 2011 to address what we saw as an obvious need to help the many stray dogs we were seeing in there. We set up feeding stations and network and pull as many as we can when a foster home or no-kill rescue group says they can take them in. One of our goals is education and we provide residents with vouchers that cover the complete cost of having their animals altered and vaccinated against rabies. In addition, we provide other vaccinations and worming in the field free of charge. Since November 2011 we have grown in size and have rescued over 300 dogs and a few cats from the area. We are launching a program called Habitat for Hounds through which we will donate doghouses and blankets to residents for their dogs that are kept outside. Our website is forgottendogs.org and we are a 501c3.
We do not have a regular adoption site at this time, but stay tuned to our facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/ForgottenDogs5) for our upcoming events!
Our adoption fee is $125. We have an online application and a contract and all dogs/puppies are either spayed/neutered prior to adoption if old enough or arrangements are made to have them spayed/neutered afterwards.
